How do I preserve my new smile after treatment?

Greg D Updated by Greg D

As with any orthodontic treatment, you'll need to wear a retainer regularly to maintain your new smile.

You'll wear your retainers 22 hours per day (except for eating and drinking) for the first two months. The same as your clear aligners 🙂

After that, you'll want to wear your retainers only while you sleep. We recommend replacing your retainers every six months to keep them fresh.

Here's what you need to know about retainers:

  • They're thicker than your aligners in order to securely hold your teeth in place.
  • They must be replaced every 6 months as they will become damaged and unhygienic due to continued use.
  • They may be responsible for the final movement of your teeth into alignment.
  • If they are not worn as prescribed, your results will be negatively affected.

What do we recommend for your retainers? Smile Care, and here's what you get with it:

  • Top Aftercare Retainer
  • Bottom Aftercare Retainer
  • Replacement Security (Subject to fair usage policy)
  • Remote Dental support/advice
  • Teeth Whitening Kit or Top Up every 6 months, 2 pcs
  • €50 SmileLife In-Store Coupon

All of this is priced at €790 but right now it's all just €197.
